An Attorney is Falsely Accused, and after four years of litigation wins.

In 1996, a woman (a potential client) lodged a complaint with police that Attorney Michael Land had groped her while they were alone.

Michael Land was handcuffed to a pipe while police officers arrested and charged him. A judge soon threw out the woman's criminal complaint, and evidence came to light that she was a frequent filer of frivolous lawsuits. Nevertheless rumors abounded, and Land's business began to dry up.

Over four years later, justice was finally done when a jury not only denied her claim but ordered her to pay him $225,000 on his legal counterclaim for malicious prosecution

But does this really repay Land for the years of stress of knowing that customers assumed lies were fact. Does this compensate for this?

Compare the real stress caused by this false accusation and the money awarded to women who have endured much much less. This clearly illustrates the legal bias towards women in the legal system.

Michael Land stated to a local newspaper: "I have not seen a female client unescorted after-hours since this incident and probably never will again."
